Russell Floyd Koenig

Russell had a love for all animals, but cats and horses were his favorite. When his nieces would visit the farm, it was Russ they asked if they could go for a ride. He, for the most part, was the only one who could catch the horses in the pasture. He spent most of his time at home in St. James building bird houses. He could take items that others were going to throw out, and create some pretty amazing bird houses and feeders. Russell will be dearly missed by family and friends. Russell is survived by his sister and brother Jeannette Dexheimer of St. James, Michael (Deb) Koenig of Houston, TX, nieces & nephews Sandra (Pat) Oberembt, Jodi (Leigh) Swanson, Stephanie (Joe) Vasquez, Rebecca Koenig, great-nieces/nephews Averie (Jeff) Barrett, Taylor (Bailey) Swanson, Alexa Oberembt, Claudia Oberembt, great-great-niece/nephew Knoxyn Barrett & Lola Barrett.
