Russell Cunningham

Russell Paul Cunningham was born on September 13, 1923 in Sleepy Eye, MN, the son of Ralph Phyllis (Petersen) Cunningham. He grew up and attended school in Sleepy Eye. Russell married Louise Olds on June 8, 1945 in Sleepy Eye. He was a life long dairy farmer until his retirement. Russ was a member of the Union Congregational UCC in Sleepy Eye as well as the DHIA, ADA and the Gideons. Louise preceded him in death in December of 1987. He married Beverly Day on April 9, 1994 in St. Peter, MN. They made their home on Lake Washington near St. Peter until 2005 when they moved to Osseo. Russell Paul Cunningham, 84, of Osseo, formerly of St. Peter Sleepy Eye, died on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, MN. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Day-Cunningham of Osseo, daughters, Janet (Linus) Kral of Sleepy Eye, Judith Weicherding of Las Cruces, NM special friend Dennis Moll, Jill (James) Rude of Bird Island and Jeri (James) Hanson of Comfrey, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Robert Beech of East Bethel, step-children, Richard Day of Orlando, FL, Michael Day of Forest Lake, MN, Doreene (Rick) Lorenzen of Maple Grove, MN, Gary (Tracy) Day of Mankato, 13 step-grandchildren 3 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife of 42 years Louise and sister, Lois.
