Rose Adelle Marie Martin was the daughter of Myrtle (Jensen) & Paul Martin born May 31,1937 in Lucan, MN. Most people knew her by the name "Del" which she earned from her nieces Cheryl & Shelly who called her "Del - Del". She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lucan where she was baptized, confirmed and later married there after college. Rose Adelle attended grade school in Lucan, High School years at Milroy, MN and graduated in 1955. After graduation she attended Mankato State College and met her husband Lowell (Stub) Koch. In 1961, Stub took a teaching job for St. James Public School, in St. James where they made their home. Del is a member of First Lutheran Church, St. James. As most of you know..... Del was never afraid of work! She loved everything she did from raising her four children, helping to raise Brent during his toddler years, to raising dogs, selling Kirby vacuums, beings Stub's right hand with their pigs and working at the greenhouse with Becky until June of 2015. Del loved going to Jackpot, attending auctions, collecting all kinds of antiques and refinishing her treasures she purchased. Everyone loved the cookies Del baked, (that she rarely ate, loved to share with friends), cooking for her family.... which never was a one course meal!! She enjoyed many projects from knitting, painting ceramics, growing plants and lending a hand to her children with whatever they were up to! She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. When and "IF" she could slow down, she loved her time with her family, especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Rose Adelle became a resident at Cottagewood Memory Care Center, Mankato, MN in July of 2015 where she had a whole new family of wonderful caregivers! She became the "Winner" when she joined the Lord in heaven and reunited with her grandson and son, Brent and Brian Koch, her parents, mother and father-in-law, Helen and Harry Koch, sister and brother-in-law Mavis and Swede Johnson, brother, Rolland Martin, nephew Bradley Martin, niece Joleen Martin, niece Susan Bloomgren, brother-in-law, Cork & Ed Koch, cousins Sharon Stoll (2-6-18) and Chuck Soupir (2-19-18), aunts, uncles & many friends.
