Rose Groebner

Rose K. Helget was born on March 18, 1918 in Mulligan Township, Brown County, MN the daughter of John Katherine (Tauer) Helget. She grew up in Mulligan Township where she attended country school. Rose married George Groebner on June 14, 1938 in Morgan, MN. The couple made their home in Stark Township, later moving to Sleepy Eye. Rose worked as a babysitter for Dr. Eckstein in Sleepy Eye. George preceded her in death in 1994. Rose was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye and the Catholic Aid. She enjoyed watching television, especially Little House on the Prairie. 88 year old Rose K. Groebner of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center. Surviviors include her nieces and nephews, George Anita Helget of Mound, Theresa Peter Hanson of Northfield Falls, VT and Alice Alfred Drew of Crookston. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, brothers, Rolland wife Lucille and John.
