Rosalia Araneda Cid was born on July 28, 1921 in Villarrica, Chile, to parents Maximiliano Cid and Juana Zoila Arandeda. She grew up in Chile and in 1941 married Arzobindo Sanhueza the couple had 2 children. Her husband died at an early age and Rosalia raised her family with the help of an aunt and uncle. Rosalia moved to the United States more than twenty years ago and was very proud to become a citizen. She embroidered and crocheting, loved to grow flowers and canned from her garden. Rosalia was a wonderful cook and enjoyed German music and dance. In her younger years she raised chickens, ducks and geese. She enjoyed travelling and spending time and telling stories with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Guillermo Sanhueza, parents, 4 brothers and a sister. She is survived by her daughter Emma S. (Lanny)Overson of St. James, sister Julia Saez of Chile, grandchildren Sheila Ray Overson Schiller and her husband Tom of Prior Lake, Erik Omar Overson of Portland, OR, great-grandchildren Calvin Thomas Schiller, Gennavieve Schiller, Gabriella Schiller, Wren Camila Vasquez Overson, numerous nieces and nephews in Chile.
