Roland Richert was born on August 11, 1929 in Springfield, MN to Robert & Rose (Riebel) Richert. He lived in Springfield his entire life where he farmed for 65 years. He was a Leader for the Burnstown Bustlers 4-H Club. Roland loved working in his shop making metal sculptors, working on machinery and restoring Model-A & Model-T cars. He also enjoyed traveling, bowling with his farm friends and spending time at the cabin. Roland was a member of the National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Lenore, sons, Gary (Colleen) Richert and David (Joan) Richert, grandchildren, Raquel (Korey) Kieper, Travis (Laura) Richert, Tonia Richert (Joe), Anna (Ted) Halvorson, Treff (Megan) Richert, Zachary (Samantha) Richert, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and sister, Avona Bielen. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert (Irene) Richert, Donald (Joan) Richert, Kenneth (Ellen) Richert and brothers-in-law, Ralph Bielen and Virgil Kettner.
