Roger A. Wolling

Roger Andrew Wolling was born on May 31, 1934 in Fairfax, MN to Andrew L. and Ida (Mundahl) Wolling. He grew up on the family farm in rural Fairfax and graduated from Fairfax High School in 1952. Roger served in the US Army for two years. He married Joyce Johnsen on December 3, 1966 in Sleepy Eye, MN. Roger worked at the Fairfax Elevator, 4 Square Lumber and the Fairfax Creamery. He owned and operated Wolling Grocery Store and A and W Feed and Seeds. Roger was a member of the Fairfax Legion, a Sunday school teacher at Our Saviors Lutheran Church and a fireman for several years. Roger A. Wolling, age 81, of Springfield, MN, formerly of Fairfax died on Friday, December 25, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield. He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Sleepy Eye, children, Sandy Wolling of Springfield, MN Rick (Pam) Wolling of Hector, Randy Wolling of San Diego, CA, Candas (Todd) Schouvieller of Morgan, MN, 7 grandchildren; Andrew, Autumn, Alyssa, Corey, Alexis, Emma and Grace, great-granddaughter, Neveah, sister, June Dallmann of Fairfax, MN, brothers-in-law, Lowell Johnsen, Kenneth (Bonnie) Johnsen, Jerry (Sharon) Johnsen, sister-in-law, Jeanette Johnsen and many nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Orda (Clifford) Fluck, Lilly (Lloyd) Dallmann, brothers-in-law, Glenn Dallmann and Glenn Johnsen, mother and father-in-law, John and Verna Johnsen and niece, Linda Dallmann.
