Roger Moe

Roger Arthur Moe was born on December 27, 1933, in Burnstown Township, Brown County, MN to Arthur Moe and Grace Krueger. On November 4, 1951, Roger was united in marriage to Kay Bishir at the EUB Church in Springfield, MN. The couple farmed in Burnstown Township. Roger was a member of the United Methodist Church in Springfield, served as the Clerk of School District 204 for 14 years, and was a spotter for the Sky Warn Tornado Program. Roger owned and piloted his own plane, and also won the RW Enduro 200 race. Roger died on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife Kay of Springfield; children - Debra (Randy) Davis of Eau Claire, WI, Jean Knakmuhs of Marshall, Rick (Deb) of Spring Valley, and Trent (Amy) of Springfield; grandchildren - Maya (Matthew), Laurel (Derek), Kelsey, Dustin (Nikki), Jamie, and LeeZa (Kyle), and great grandchildren; in-laws - Mona (Clem) Moreau of Faribault, Wilma Bishir of So. Minneapolis, Karen (Clinton) Olson of Annandale, and Rachel of Springfield. Roger was preceded in death by his parents - Arthur and Grace Moe, parents-in-law - Clyde and Helen Bishir, son-in-law Carlos Knakmuhs, brothers-in-law - Dale (Donna) Bishir, Dean Bishir, and Kenneth Bishir.
