Roger Wayne Jenniges was born May 13, 1951, the son of Mathias V. and Dolores (Schones) Jenniges. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1971 and served aboard the USS Ranger, the USS Sterry, and the USS Fulton out of Groton/New London, CT. Roger served a total of 8 years in the Navy and was a proud veteran of Vietnam. Following his discharge in 1975, Roger was a carpenter for 20 years. He was a proud 'Papa' to his grandkids, and a wonderful father to his three children. Roger loved his old-time country music and enjoyed singing to his children and grandchildren. He was a great guy with a big heart, and was loved by all. Roger will not be forgotten and will be missed more than words can describe. Roger Wayne Jenniges died Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at the Springfield Medical Center/Hospital at the age of 56 years. He is survived by mother- Dolores (Dodo) Cox of N. Mankato; children- Jedidiah John Jenniges of Sebring, FL, Amanda Jeanne Jenniges of Lamberton, and Cassandra Ann Jenniges of Bellevue, NE; grandchildren- Marissa Jenniges, Charlie Goldurs, and Emily Jenniges; siblings- Steve (Pauline) Jenniges of Lakeville, Barbara (Lyle) Schaak of Colquet, Allyn (Terri) Jenniges of Garner, IA, Myron (Sue) Jenniges of Albertville, Wanda Jenniges of Illinois, Donnie Jenniges of Inver Grove Heights, Rod (Gina) Jenniges of Wabasso, Mark Jenniges of St. Louis Park, Margaret Jenniges of Mankato, Scott Jenniges of Wabasso, and Jeanette Jenniges of Mankato; special friends- Candace Hagen-Thompson and family; best friends and cousins- Dale (Lolly) Jenniges; ex-wife and mother of his children- Nancy Heiskary Jenniges; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; his companion of 19 years- Ana Volkert; sister- Becky Weber; and brother- Mathias Jenniges.
