Roger Lee Friesen, 77, of Minnetonka, died September 21, 2025, at his home.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:00 am, at Mountain Lake City Cemetery in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Mountain Lake. Online Condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.
Roger was born January 15, 1948, to John R. and Marie (Quiring) Friesen in Butterfield Township, Minnesota. He graduated from Butterfield-Odin High School in 1966. Following high school, Roger moved to Minneapolis and started working for the Methodist Hospital in Saint Louis Park in 1969. While working at Methodist, he was appointed to the 2005 Board of Directors for ASHE (American Society of Healthcare Engineering). He retired in 2011 after working there for more than 40 years and ending as Director of Facilities Engineering. In retirement, Roger enjoyed fixing and managing his rental properties and farmland.
Roger is survived by his son, Mike Friesen of Plymouth, Minnesota; two sisters, Sandra Warling of Little Rock, Arkansas and Shirley (Arnold) Dick of Long Prairie, Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Friesen of Janesville, Minnesota, and Janelle Friesen of Ashland, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews, and other relation.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lee and Howard; and one sister, Verna.
