Rodney Ray Rogotzke was born August 6, 1969, in Springfield, MN. He was the son of Richard and Sharon (Albertson) Rogotzke. Rod grew up in Sanborn and was the youngest of 4 siblings. Rod was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in faith as a youth, both at Zion Lutheran Church in Sanborn, MN. He graduated with the class of 1988 from Sanborn High School. Rod worked for Warren and Mark Pankonin at their farm for many years. He then purchased the Corner Bar in Sanborn and renamed it Hot Rods. Rod was a member of the American Legion in Sanborn. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, going to races, playing darts and pool, and driving his side-by-side vehicle. Rod died on March 3, 2022, at his home in Sanborn and is now at home with his Risen Savior. Blessed be his memory. He is survived by his brothers Erwin Rogotzke of Duluth, MN, Bradley (Kristine) Rogotzke of Sioux Falls, SD, and Michael Rogotzke of Princeton, MN. Rod was preceded in death by his parents – Richard and Sharon Rogotzke and his grandparents – Albert and Myrtle Rogotzke and Orland (Bob) and Marie Albertson.
