In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials. Robert G. Bob Schultz was born on May 7, 1937 in Split Rock, WI, the son of Otto F. Esther (Berkner) Schultz. He moved to Sleepy Eye with his parents in 1944 and attended Sleepy Eye Public School graduating in 1957. Bob served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961 and then returned to Sleepy Eye. He married Kitty Rieke on December 28, 1964 in Fairfax, MN. Bob and Kitty made their home in Sleepy Eye where Bob worked as a licensed boiler operator/maintenance for Sleepy Eye Public Utilities for 35 years. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and a Charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Bob enjoyed motorcycle riding, camping, sailing, hiking and traveling. He visited all of the Minnesota State Parks. He is survived by his wife, Kitty of Sleepy Eye, daughters, LuAnn (Jeff) Julien and their daughter, Grace of New Ulm, Vickie (Rod) Schumacher and their daughters, Jamie and Katelyn of Courtland, sisters, Bernice Spores of Green Bay, WI, Mava Engholm of Morgan, brothers, Delton Schultz, Ken (Peggy) Schultz, all of Edgewater, FL, mother-in-law, Florence Rieke of Fairfax, sister-in-law, Judy Mitchell of Worthington, brother-in-law, Den (Deb) Rieke of California and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lloyd, brothers-in-law, Charles Spores and Ivan Engholm, sister-in-law, Evelyn Schultz and father-in-law, Edwin Rieke.
