Robert Michniewicz

Robert Bob Michniewicz, age 71, of Madelia, Minnesota went to his heavenly home unexpectedly on December 15, 2014. He was born in Madelia on August 28, 1934, the son of Charles and Hildur (Wold) Michniewicz. Robert grew up in Madelia and was a graduate of Madelia High School. On December 14, 1962, he married Judith Nancy Schroeder. The couple resided in Madelia and after the birth of their four children, Robert Jr, Brenda, Jeff and Lori; the family moved to New Ulm, where Robert worked as a mechanic for many years. After his retirement, Robert and Judy returned to Robert's home place. During retirement they were busy attending craft shows, flea markets and selling their wood crafts. Robert also enjoyed golfing, hunting, gardening and reading. Robert is survived by his wife, Judy Michniewicz; children, Robert Jr (Lynn) Michniewicz, Brenda (Mark) Janni, Jeff (Brenda) Michniewicz; Lori (Scott) Speiss; nine grandchildren, sister, Donna Jean (Glaman) Petersen, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Hildur Michniewicz; parents in-law, Robert and Clem Schroeder; grandson, Nicholas Nic Janni, brothers-in-law, Calvin Glaman and Pete Petersen.
