Robert William Lendt

Robert William Lendt was born on July 24, 1921 the son of William and Bonhilda (Tessmer) Lendt in Sleepy Eye. He grew up and attended school at District 10 in Brown County. Robert married Luverne Dallmann on October 24, 1943 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in New Ulm. The couple made their home southeast of Sleepy Eye in Sigel Township where they farmed for many years. Later on they retired and moved to Sleepy Eye. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church of Sleepy Eye. He is survived by his sons James (Gail) of Sleepy Eye and Thomas (Sharon) of Waconia, MN, 3 grandchildren, Amy (Dan Murphy), Kimberly (Eric Raymond) and Michael Lendt and 2 great-grandchildren Jessica and Jacob Murphy. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, wife Luverne in 2002, sisters Cleora Thurow, Irene Zimmerman and Agonia Wilfhart and brothers Donald, Dennis and Eldon Lendt. Upon his death, we lost a dedicated farmer. The family prefers memorials be sent to St. John's Church, Sleepy Eye Hospital, Sleepy Eye Care Center or to the donor's choice.
