Robert Krueger

Robert J. Krueger was born on April 24, 1913 in North Star Township northwest of Springfield. He was the son of Emil and Clara (Wagner) Krueger. He graduated from Alberta High School in 1931. In 1934 he married Elizabeth Hager and the couple moved to Sleepy Eye where they have lived since. Their 72nd wedding anniversary was celebrated on May 7, 2006. For many years he was involved with the farm implement and chainsaw business at the Farm Equipment Center in Sleepy Eye. He was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church and served on the building committee, church council and served as council president. Robert left this life to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Sleepy Eye Hospital. He is survived by his wife - Elizabeth of Sleepy Eye; children - Lee (Elna) of Markesan, WI, Judy (Mike) Winer of Minneapolis, and Lynn (Jane) of Golden Valley; grandchildren - Elise (John) Ladwig, Karyn Krueger, Rebecca (Justin) Peter, and Jennifer Winer; a brother - Norman (Dorothy) of Almelund and a sister-in-law - Meta Krueger of Roseville as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends in Minnesota and Arizona. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers - Victor, Donald, and LeRoy and a sister Doris Sax
