Robert Kettner

Robert (Bob) Clarence Kettner was born on April 27, 1930, in North Star Township, to Emma Wetzel Kettner and Edward Kettner. Bob was a farmer at heart. He served as a board member for various organizations such as the Midland Co-op, Harvest Land Co-op, and Church Council. He was a life -long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he was baptized, confirmed, and served as an usher for many years. His favorite pastimes were being with his wife, children, grandchildren, reading, traveling, devotions, having coffee with the guys, and visiting with his friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his infectious smile and his love of ice cream. Bob married Carol Peterson on April 29, 1952. Carol passed away November 18, 1974. He married Janice Schiller Quesenberry November 23, 1979. He is survived by his wife Janice Kettner; children: Sue (Leon) Hoffmann, Ron (Jenny) Kettner; stepchildren: Chandra (Gil) Bily, Nancy (Mike) Christensen, Nyla Quesenberry, Alroy (Jill) Quesenberry, Harmon (Megan) Quesenberry; 6 grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren; brothers: Arland (Gloria) Kettner, Jim (Myrt) Kettner; and a sister-in- law: LaDonna Kettner. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol, infant son, parents, sisters Arlene (Clarence) Donoho, Eleanore (Ed) Krueger, Florence (Jerry) Arndt, brother Donald Kettner, son-in-law Dennis Peterson and step-grandson Caleb Quesenberry.
