Robert Eischen

There will be a parish prayer service at 7pm Sunday at the funeral home. Robert E. Eischen was born July 5, 1928 at Mountain Lake Hospital to Felix Madeleine (Kelly) Eischen. He attended St. Paul's Catholic School through 8th grade. He lived in Comfrey until 1950 and graduated in 1947 from Comfrey Public Schools. He served in the Army in Korea from 1950 until 1952. He married Mary Rose Windschitl on June 1, 1957 at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield. He worked at MV Gas Company in Sleepy Eye and later drove school bus. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the VFW. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by wife, Mary Rose Eischen of Sleepy Eye, children, Mary Lee (Bob) Stuber of Winona, Steve (Marie) Eischen of Willmar, Joan (Dan) Hoffman of New Ulm, Lori (Mark) Knake of New London, Robert J. Eischen special friend, Sue Kunerth of New Ulm, 6 grandchildren, sisters, Geri Johnson of Willmar, Madeleine (Art) Hounslow of Stillwater, OK and brother, Jim (Marilyn) Eischen of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Ellen Zimmerman and brothers-in-law, Myron Zimmerman and Harold Johnson.
