On the dawn of August 23, 2023, the Lord called Richard Dale Krueger home. Richard was born on February 29, 1968, in Lakefield, Minnesota to David and Theresa (Whisney) Krueger. He was baptized and confirmed in Windom, Minnesota, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Richard graduated from Windom High School in 1986, where he created and nurtured lifelong friendships.
Richard married Babe (Vickie Ringham), the love of his life, on August 8, 1992, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Their union was blessed with three children; Dylan, Lance, and Harlie, whom he always called his princess.
There were many things Richard loved. He loved time with family and friends, spirited debates, the loyalty and strength of Rottweilers, motorcycle rides where he could feel freedom as the wind rushed by him, and time in nature. Richard was an avid hunter and spent many years at ‘deer camp,’ where he was the life of the party and boisterous narrator of historic hunts from the past. Above all, Richard loved his family and spent many moments guiding them, nurturing them, and creating memories to last a lifetime. He instilled a strong work ethic in his children and cherished each one.
Friendship was essential in Richard’s life, and those within his circle were highly conscious of how loyal, kind, accepting, and protective he was to those he called a friend. Richard was a hard worker and took pride in everything he did. He found comfort in knowing his family was provided for and was always willing to supply the muscle in any project. Richard was not only strong in stature; he was also strong in his faith in God. He had a soft, kind, and loving heart apparent to all those around him. He was humble and believed God guided him from the beginning of his life to the end.
Richard is survived by his wife Babe; children, Dylan of Rochester, MN, Lance, and Harlie; his mother Theresa, of Windom, MN; sisters, Susan (Mel Ludvigson) of Windom, MN,Teresa (Todd Hines) of Windom, MN; brothers, David (Tonja) of Windom, MN, Robert (Angela) of St. Peter, MN; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, David.
In honor of Richard’s memory, he would want those who loved him to tell lively stories of memories with him, take a long ride on a motorcycle, play with a beloved pet, debate on something important to you, and enjoy both the dusk and the dawn. Richard left an enormous void in the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
Blessed be his memory.
