Richard Allen Krebs was born on March 28, 1947 in Springfield, the son of Marvin and Elda (Gentz) Krebs. Richards was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield and graduated from the Springfield High School in 1966. He worked for Weber Ford in Springfield. On September 11, 1971 he married Mary Ann Helget and the couple continued to live in Springfield. Richard owned and operated Rich's Amoco Station in Sleepy Eye until June of 2003. He was a member of the Sleepy Eye Sportsman's Club and the Eagles. Richards enjoyed bowling, fishing, racing, and spending time with friends. Richard died on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester at the age of 57 years. He is survived by his wife - Mary Ann Krebs of Sleepy Eye; a son - Cori Krebs of Minneapolis; daughters - Shari Krebs of Sleepy Eye and Kari and husband Mike Mattson of Albert Lea; 3 grandchildren - Larissa, Jaden, and Malory; brother and sisters - Marlene and husband Charter Charlson of Plymouth; Lenus and wife Theresa Krebs of Minot, ND, and Judie and husband Larry Wollin of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents - Marvin and Elda Krebs.
