Richard Emil Boettger

Richard Emil Boettger was born on September 18, 1936 to Rudolph and Rose (Krueger) Boettger in Springfield, MN.  He graduated from Springfield High School in 1955 and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as a helicopter mechanic.  On November 26, 1960, he was united in marriage to Alice Schultz in Springfield.  Richard farmed and worked at various Allis Chalmers and automotive dealers. He also worked as a courier for the Springfield Medical Center.  Richard was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Springfield American Legion.

Richard Emil Boettger  age 86, of Springfield, MN died on June 19, 2023, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.

He is survived by his children - Roger (Nancy) Boettger of Morgan, Greg (Amy) Boettger of Springfield, Todd (Mary) Boettger of Owatonna, and Mark Boettger of Springfield; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents; wife in April of 2017; sister Phyllis (John) Hawthorne; and brother Harold (Bernice) Boettger.
