Reynold Knickrehm

Reynold Knickrehm, age 86, of St. James, died at his home on Friday, May 13, 2011. Reynold William Knickrehm was born April 13, 1925, in St. James, MN, to son of Carl Laura (Lange) Knickrehm. Reynold was baptized, confirmed and life long member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church. As a child he grew up in St. James and graduated from St. James High School. He served in the Army from March 1945 until November 1946. After his military service he moved to Illinois wher he worked construction. On February 16, 1952 he married Louise Sorensen in Elgin, IL. The couple moved to St. James where Reynold farmed from 1960 until 1969. They moved to Madelia where Reynold returned to doing construction work. He retired in 2005. Reynold loved his fishing trips to Lake Kabetogama and deer hunting in the Ely area. He was a Minnesota Twins fan from the Twins beginning. He also enjoy water color painting. Reynold was active in his Church, he served in in various Church Council positions and was active with Men's Fellowship. He is survived by his wife Louise Knickrehm of St. James, daughters, Nancy Knickrehm of Coon Rapids, Bonnie (Roger) Hennis of Madelia, sisters, Loraine Sawatzky of Madelia, Elaine (Don) Henze of Comfrey, grandchildren, Andrew (Courtney) Hennis of Madelia, Scott (Theresa) Hennis of St. Paul, great-grandchildren, Alex, Luke Hennis, Cecela Caroline Hennis, sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Knickrehm of St. James, Germaine (Jack) Rust of St. James, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Harold and Charles.
