Reuben Dallmann

Reuben Albert Henry Dallmann was born April 27, 1923, to Albert and Marie (Netzke) Dallmann on the family farm near Lamberton. He attended Lamberton High School. He farmed with his dad. Reuben was united in marriage to Eva Yackel on November 28, 1943. The couple farmed the family farm until 1978 when they moved to Verndale, MN. The couple moved back to Lamberton in 2003 and to Valley View Manor on July 7, 2010. Reuben was active in church throughout his life. He loved hunting, fishing, and enjoyed his time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was devoted to his wife and cared for her following an illness in 2002. Reuben was diagnosed with cancer on October 8, 2010 and died on Friday, October 29, 2010 at Valley View Manor Care Center at the age of 87 years. He is survived by his wife Eva Yackel - Dallmann of Lamberton; children - Jean (Ed) Fisher of Smithville, MO, Betty (Dave) Baumann of Lamberton, Bob Dallmann of Staples, MN, Ron (Phyliss) Dallmann of Becida, MN, and Richard (Sharon) Yackel of New York; grandchildren - David Fischer, Cinda Fisher, Steven (Missy) Fisher, Brett (Nicole) Baumann, Jackie (Brent) Schmitz, Staci Kappen, Alan Baumann, Andy (Stacy) Dallmann, Joe Dallmann, Terra Dallmann, Mariah Dallmann, and Kurtis Dallmann; great grandchildren - Joe Fisher, Cody Fisher, Cole Baumann, Carley Baumann, Jaxon Schmitz, Michelle Koppen, Marissa Koppen, and Enda Dallmann; sisters-in-law - Cherly Essig, Ruth Merringer, Annette (Loren) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents - Albert and Marie Dallmann; parents-in-law - Jack and Maude Yackel; sisters - Agatha (Gordon) Bittner, Gertrude (Albert) Storch, and Lydia (Andy) Hansen; sister-in-law - Lavon Bloedow-Engeswick; a great grandson - Aaron Baumann nieces Janice Storch - Macklenberg and Janet Bloedow-Rippentrapp; and a nephew - Bill Essig.
