Renata Middleton

Memorials preferred to Christ Lutheran Church - Stately. Renata Mabel Middleton was born October 12, 1921, in Bashaw Township, Brown County, the daughter of August and Louise (Schultz) Hauth. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield. Renata was united in marriage to Lawrence Middleton on February 9, 1945, and the couple farmed in Bashaw Township their entire lives. Renata cleaned homes and also worked for Harold Wendt during the seed corn harvest. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Stately Township and was active with the Ladies Aid. Renata loved her milk cows and enjoyed gardening, having coffee with her friends, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She became a resident of St. John Lutheran Home in February of 2002. Renata Mabel Middleton died Thursday, October 22, 2009, at the age of 88 years. She is survived by husband Lawrence of Springfield; children- Allen and wife Sandy Middleton of Springfield, and Vivian and husband Reyn Dittbenner of Sleepy Eye; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers- Royal and Gordon Hauth; sisters- Irene Fromm and Mildred Quiram; and 1 great-grandchild.
