Reinhart Fast

Reinhart Fast, the son of George and Catherine (Steinle) Fast was born on January 16, 1931 at the Bethel Hospital in Mountain Lake, MN. He grew up on the family farm near Butterfield, MN, and he received his education at District #53 country school. Reinhart was baptized upon confession of his faith at the First Mennonite Church north of Butterfield. He lived with his parents and farmed with his father until moving in to Butterfield. After moving to town, Reinhart enjoyed working on lawn mowers, collecting toy tractors, being out and about, and visiting with others. Reinhart died at the Sogge Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Windom, MN on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at the age of 78 years. Reinhart is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters and two brothers, Catherine, Juliana, George and Reinhart, all in infancy. He is survived by a brother, Arnold Fast and his wife Esther of Butterfield; a nephew, Ron Fast and his wife Betty of Butterfield; a niece, Cheryl Bregel and her husband Bryce of Butterfield. He is also survived by three great nieces and nephew and their families, Laura Sense and her husband Bill of Ellsworth, WI and their daughter Tiffany Fast; Dawn Fast and Jesse Odegard of St. James, MN and their children, Hanley Jordyn Connell and Skylar Alexys Odegard; and Derek Fast and his wife Cortney of Sleepy Eye, MN and their children Derek Jr., Camron Brayden; many other relatives and friends.
