Raymond Bachmann

Raymond "Ray" Bachmann was born on February 23, 1937 to Harvey and Rose (Allemann) Bachmann in Madelia, MN. He grew up in Madelia and graduated from Madelia High School in 1955. After his graduation, Ray served in the United States Army. Upon his Honorable Discharge, he returned to Madelia where he worked for the Minnesota Gas Company. He was employed with the gas company until his retirement. Ray liked to keep himself busy working on projects and activities. He was a resourceful handy-man and completed countless carpentry projects and home renovations throughout the years. In his free time, he enjoyed many hobbies and spent much of his time fishing and hunting. He went on many deer hunting trips with his son, son-in-law and grandsons. He loved time that was spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a very loving grandfather to them all. Raymond Bachmann age 82, of Mankato, MN, formerly of Madelia, MN died on May 5, 2019, at his home. Ray is survived by his wife, Kay Bachmann; children, Brian (Mary) Bachmann, Cindy (Dave) Lehman; step-children, Tim Bartelt, Patty (Greg) Albers; sister, Caroline Bloomquist; 8 grandchildren and 11-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Scott Bachmann; sister Marlene Bachmann; brother, Willard (Donna) Bachmann and brother-in-law, Vernon Bloomquist.
