Raymond Alvin Schilling was born on January 8, 1937 in Iona, MN to Jack and Mary (Christensen) Schilling. He attended school at St. Raphael's in Springfield, MN. After school he served in the United States Navy on the USS Lexington. After serving in the Navy he moved to New Ulm and married Brunilla Lang on September 5, 1959 at St. Raphael's Church in Springfield, MN. Ray worked at BF Goodrich, Heymann Construction and later started his own business, Ray's Masonry Construction. He was also part owner of Southside Auto until he retired. Ray enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog Shiloh, fishing and riding his cycle. He is survived by his wife, Brunilla Schilling of Sleepy Eye, daughter, Kelly (Tom) Gutknecht of New Ulm, son, Randy ( Jan) Schilling of Sleepy Eye, 3 grandchildren; Bryan, Brent and Brittany, 4 step grandchildren; Jessica, Kelly, Savannah and Corey, great grandchildren, Peyton and Daiven, step great granddaughter, Halle and brother, Leo Schilling of Bainbridge, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, Russ Schilling, sister, Joan Snook and brother, Ed Schilling.
