Eagle

Randy "Eagle" Wellman age 63, of Hanska, MN, died on May 10, 2023, at his home.

Memorial service will be held at the Albion Lutheran Church, St. James on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 11:00 am. Visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the funeral.

The clergy will be Rev. Robert Springer. Interment will be at a later date.

Randy grew up in the rural St. James-Godahl area on a farm.  He continued farming with his dad and brothers and uncle Bob.  On April 26th, he was united in marriage to Kathy Frederickson.  They made their home in rural Hanska where he continued to farm crops and livestock.  Randy enjoyed Fast Pitch softball for Godahl.  Everybody knew him as "Eagle".   He continued his farming and livestock raising for many years.  You would always see Randy outside either doing chores, farming or baling.

He loved watching his grandkids sporting events and always gave helpful tips too.  He was always willing to help others and share his knowledge of farming and raising livestock.  He always took time to stop baling and say hello and talk to the locals.

Randy is survived by his wife, Kathy Wellman; children, Randi (Jason Lacina) Wellman of  LaSalle, Dusty (Ashley) Wellman or Mankato, Ashley (Jeremy) Brekken of Hanska, Lacy (Matt Gens) Wellman of Madelia; grandkids, Alexis, Jorgen, Aralyn, Jilien, Logan, Jayden, Elliot; brothers, Rick (Chris) Wellman of St. James, Roger (Kateri) Wellman of Fairmont; brother-in-law, Mark (Peg) Frederickson and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Delores Wellman.
