Randy Earl Reid

Randy Earl Reid, age 71, of Saint James, Minnesota, died on March 23, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be held at Augustana Lutheran Church in Saint James, MN on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the service.

Interment will take place at a later date.

Randy was born on May 14, 1954, in Fort Leonard Wood, MO, and grew up in Vernon Center, MN. After graduating from Wellcome Memorial High School in 1972, he furthered his education at South Central Technical School, where he studied Agriculture Business for two years.

Randy dedicated many years as a grain broker, working for WFS/CFS for 44 years. His commitment to his profession mirrored his dedication to his family. On October 24, 1981, he married the love of his life, Bonnie Meyer Hartwig, at Grace Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake, IA. Their love story blossomed into a beautiful life together in St. James, MN, a home filled with laughter, warmth, and countless memories.

An avid outdoorsman, Randy found joy in fishing, camping, and hunting, often sharing these passions with his loved ones. He treasured the moments spent with his family-his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he relished every opportunity to be with them. His generous spirit, quick wit, and boundless love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Randy is survived by his beloved spouse, Bonnie Reid; son, Ryan (Sissi) Reid; daughter, Erica (Joe) Garza; grandchildren, Dylan (Catalina), Halle & Morgan Reid, Marshall, Bella and Myles Garza; brothers, Brian (Linda) Reid, Bruce (Brenda) Reid; sisters, Wanda Reid, Roxy (Peter) Skalicky, and many nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by, parents, Earl and Shirley Reid; parents-in-law, Dick and Aletha Meyer, and infant son, Zachary Reid.
