Ramona Niemeier

RaMona Gale Siem was born on August 5, 1933, in Ormsby, Minnesota, the daughter of Melvin Ethel (Hammer) Siem. RaMona grew up in the Ormsby/Odin area where she attended country school through the eighth grade, she then graduated from St. James High School. She went to work for Scherr-Tumico before getting married. On June 22, 1952, she was united in marriage to Clarence Niemeier. They made their home and raised their family in the South Branch area. RaMona worked in the Courthouse and for Human Services for several years. She also volunteered at the hospital. She enjoyed golfing, jigsaw puzzles, traveling abroad and in the United States, reading, and crocheting. She and Clarence enjoyed wintering in either Mesa, AZ, area or Galveston, TX. Ramona's greatest joy was her family, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. RaMona is survived by her husband; Clarence Niemeier of St. James, children; Nona Niemeier of Eagle Lake, Kevin (Elizabeth) Niemeier of Minnetonka, Gayleen (Randy) Sternberg of Albert Lea, Bradley (Eileen) Niemeier of Benson, sister; Sharon (Elden) Malott of St. James, grandchildren; James (Jennifer) Niemeier, David Niemeier, Kathryn (Jonathan) Henriksen, Dustin (Christina) Niemeier, Steven Niemeier, Melanie (Mathew) Dokkebakken, Crystal (Tyler) DeVore, Stephanie (Ethan) Berg, Naomi Vu, great-grandchildren; Jack Joe Niemeier, Fiona Henriksen, Dylan Blake Dokkebakken, Addison Brynn Berg and a soon to be born set of twins. She is preceded in death by her parents, step-father; Walter Hopman, brother; Dale Siem, nephew; Barry Malott, brothers-in-law; Don Johnson, Dwayne Krenz, and sister-in-law; Emma Siem.
