Phyllis Larsen

Phyllis Randine Larsen was born on August 29, 1923 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Adolph and Irma (Opsal) Moen. She was united in marriage to Lincoln Horman on November 4, 1950 in Minneapolis. Following his death Phyllis was united in marriage to Lester Larsen on March 20, 1965 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. Phyllis and Lester lived South of Sleepy Eye and farmed West of Morgan until retirement in 1980. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye and participated in Ladies Aide and was on the Home Cemetery Board. Phyllis enjoyed antiques, quilting, sewing, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Phyllis died on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her children - Audrey Horman of Eden Prairie, MN, Richard (Sue) Horman of Rogers, MN and Ronald (Laura) Horman of Sleepy Eye; grandchildren - Megan (Luke) Breyer, Nicolas Horman, Samantha Horman and Cody Horman; great grandchildren - Emmy Breyer, Patrick Breyer and Karter Knapp; sisters-in-law - Virginia Bendix of Echo, MN and Gloria Moen of Shingles Springs, CA; brother-in-law, Glen (Ruth) Larsen of Suitland, MD, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Lincoln Horman and Lester Larsen; and a brother - Robert Moen.
