Phyllis Jean Bohnen was born on July 20, 1933 in Norwood, MN, the daughter of Oscar Rose (Beckfeld) Bohnen. She grew up and attended school in Minneapolis. After graduating from high school she attended Business School. Phyllis worked at the Minnesota Department of Health in the Division of Enviornmental Health for many years. In April of 1997 she moved to Countryside Apartments in Sleepy Eye where she made her home. She was an avid bowler for many years and enjoyed playing the concertina and the organ. Phyllis is survived by her nephews, Tim Bohnen special friend Sharon Jones of Waseca, Kevin ReNaye Bohnen of Buffalo Lake, Pat Missy Bohnen of Sleepy Eye, nieces, Brenda Jim Guldan of New Ulm, Maureen Bohnen of New Ulm, Sheila John Ortlip of Hutchinson, Bridget Fischer of New Ulm and sister-in-law, Mary Bohnen of New Ulm. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Eugene and Glenn and infant sister, Hazel.
