Phoxai Vongsy

Phoxai Vongsy age 86, of Butterfield, MN, died on June 6, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Service will be held at the First Lutheran Church, Butterfield, on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the church.

The clergy will be Rev. Andy Hermodson-Olsen. Interment will be at the Kansas Lake Cemetery in Butterfield, MN.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in St. James.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.

The pillar of this family- the strong foundation that holds us together.

The most selfless man, always putting the needs of others before himself. He loved everyone unconditionally. He was adored by all who crossed his path. As we have all heard countless times, “I don’t think a person could have ever met Phoxai and not loved him.” He taught all of us resilience - strength - kindness.

We are so incredibly honored to have known such a man. Blessed to have been able to call our friend, grandpa, and dad.

We will always love you unconditionally, for you will be forever in our hearts.
