Patrick Mathiowetz

Patrick "Pewter" Joseph Mathiowetz was born on March 19, 1952, to Fredolin and Marcella (Schroepfer) Mathiowetz, in Springfield, MN. He graduated from Springfield High School and then served in the US Army from 1972 to 1974. On July 20, 1981, Pat was united in marriage to Mary Windschitl. Pat worked in the maintenance department at St. John Lutheran Home retiring in 2015. Pewter enjoyed fishing especially river fishing, deer hunting, gardening, making wine and sausage, grilling, relaxing at the lake cabin, visiting with friends, and he always enjoyed listening to rock and roll music. Pat loved spending time with his grandchildren and making them giggle. Pat died on Friday, February 26, 2021, at his home in Springfield, MN. He is survived by his wife Mary; son Kurtis Mathiowetz and his wife Brittany; daughter Kristen Mathiowetz; grandchildren - Ezri, Roa, Kairos, and Lennon; sister Rita Drusch; and brother Ronald (Mary) Mathiowetz.
