Patricia Seifert

Patricia Louise Seifert, 83, Sleepy Eye, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, surrounded by her whole family, at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center. Patricia "Patt" was born April 26, 1931, at the family farm in Easton, to Charles and Louise (Stencil) O'Rourke. She grew up in Sleepy Eye and was a member of the St. Mary's class of 1949. On Nov. 8, 1949, Patricia married Stanley "Sonny" Seifert at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy and together they raised six children. Patt was a dedicated farm wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a great sense of humor and her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family listening to everyone's stories. Her wonderful sense of humor was passed down to each of us and we will treasure our gift of laughter forever. Patt was so proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed celebrating St. Patrick's Day throughout the years. Patt is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Sonny; her children, Carey and special friend Arla Dockter, Christine (Dan) Hoffmann, Craig "Mike" Seifert, Candy (Mike) Helget, Cathy (Randy) Ludewig and Connie (Don) Schroepfer, all of Sleepy Eye; grandchildren, Heather (Troy) Barnes, Holly (Brian) Christensen, Hannah (Scott) Peterson, Aaron (Jamie) Seifert, Adam (Marisa) Seifert, Collin Seifert, Allie Seifert, Dustin (Becky) Helget, Kaily and fiance Anthony Hauck, Joe (Jessica) Ludewig, Kate Ludewig, Matt (Holly) Ludewig, David Ludewig, Sonni Sellner, Mikail Sellner and Megan Schroepfer; great-grandchildren, Brynn Barnes, Caleb, Kyle and Kyson Christensen, Calista and Caela Peterson, Avery and Harper Seifert, Claire Seifert, Olivia and Dylan Simonson, Jadon, Kaija and Lily Ludewig, Ashton Lipinski, Kaleigh and Weslie Schuck and Isabella Helget; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Dean (Charlene) O'Rourke, Denny (Margo) O'Rourke, Mary Kanelos, Beatrice (Ed) Neves, Carmel Bennett and Joette (Bill) King. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles O'Rourke; mother, Louise O'Rourke Miscevich; and brother, Charles O'Rourke.
