Pamela Kay Nelson

Pamela Kay Nelson age 66, of Butterfield, died on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Good Samaritan Lodge, in Mountain Lake, Minnesota.

Visitation will be from 9-10AM on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James where a Memorial Service will be held at 10 AM.

The officiant will be Chaplain John Gardiner. Interment will be at a later date in the Butterfield City Cemetery.

Pamela Kay Warling was born on September 7, 1956 in Madelia, Minnesota to parents Enard and Evelyn Warling.  She was one of 2 children.

She graduated from St. James High School. On April 29, 1983, she married Stanley Raymond Nelson in Sioux Falls, SD.

Together, they were blessed with 3 children.  She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Butterfield.

Pam enjoyed playing boardgames, knitting and trips to the casino.

Pam is survived by her son, Shane (Amanda) Nelson of St. James; daughter, Melissa Cords of St. James; 4 grandchildren, Trevor, Jaden, Colton and Rakyia; one great-granddaughter, Brixlee; one brother, Clayton (Andrea) Warling; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley Nelson and step-son, Travis Nelson.
