Olive (Alt) Kelly, age 104 years, 9 months, 22 days, died on September 28, 2011 in Sleepy Eye, MN. She was born on December 6, 1906 in Panola, IL to Louis Josephine (Pinkham) Alt. She moved to Sleepy Eye at the age of eight. After graduating from high school she took teacher's training and taught at numerous country schools in the area. Olive married Dean I. Kelly in 1932. She was a homemaker until her two sons were out of school and then she worked at Del Monte until retirement. She was very active in church and enjoyed many hobbies and crafts. She always had a big garden and traveled a lot until Dean's death in 1976. She was a founding member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye. She is survived by son, Donald wife Donna of New Ulm, grandsons, Dan, Douglas and Darren Kelly, daughter-in-law, Diane Petersen of Texas, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dean, son, Darrel, sisters, Lena (Ted) Trebesch, Florence (Ed) Trebesch and brothers, Harold, John and Richard Alt.
