Olga Peters, the daughter of Herman P. and Elizabeth (Baer) Peters was born on March 8, 1916, in Carson Township, Cottonwood County, near Delft, MN. She received her education at a country school near her home. Olga was baptized upon confession of her faith at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Mountain Lake, and she later became a member of the First Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake. She worked at the Rahn Turkey Farms for many years before her marriage and also did housekeeping for others. On September 4, 1946, Olga was united in Marriage to Peter M. Harder at the First Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake. They lived and farmed in the Butterfield, MN area until moving in to Butterfield due to Peter's health. Peter died on September 20, 1980. Following Peter's death, Olga lived in Mountain Lake for a short time before moving to St. James, MN. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting afgans, and was a very hard worker. In June of 2005, Olga moved to Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center in St. James, and this is where she died on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at the age of 90 years. Olga is survived by four siblings, Herman Peters Jr. of St. James, Almada and her husband Ed Quiring of Mountain Lake, Lawrence and his wife Anita Peters of Ingram, TX, and Elma Wolf of Mountain Lake; two sisters-in-law, Marian Peters of Augusta,GA, and Evelyn Peters of Rochester, MN; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Peter M. Harder; three brothers, Waldo, Clarence and Arnie Peters; a sister-in-law, Susie Peters; and a brother-in-law, Nick Wolf.
