Odelia Pihlstrom

Odelia Dee Catherine Pihlstrom was born February 19, 1926 in Mulligan Township, Brown County, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Zwaschka) Helget. She attended school in Mulligan Township, St. Paul Catholic School in Comfrey, and graduated from Good Council Academy in Mankato, MN. Dee worked in Minneapolis following her graduation. On January 16, 1948 she was united in marriage to Phillip Pihlstrom in Minneapolis, MN. She worked for the Arlington School District, Arlington Hospital and managed the apartment complex that Dee and Phillip owned in Arlington. Dee moved to Springfield in March of 2004. She enjoyed camping, traveling, golfing, her dogs Lucky and Lucy, and spending time with her nieces, nephews, grandnieces grandnephews, and family. Dee died on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN at the age of 81 years. She is survived by a sister - Imelda Edmunds of CA; many loving nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and their families. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband - Phillip in 1973.
