Nancy Jo Frederickson

Nancy Jo Frederickson passed away at the age of 65 on Good Friday- April 2, 2021- at her home in Madelia, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born on January 16, 1956 to Harvey and Vernell (Sorbel) Frederickson in Trimont, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in St. James and then became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Madelia. Nancy graduated from St. James High School in 1974. She was employed with Kraft Foods in New Ulm for 39 years from 1974-2013. Nancy was blessed with a son and daughter - Benjamin Curtis and Katie Jo Odegard, and 9 grandchildren. Nancy's biggest joys were her grandchildren and spending time with them. Just 2 short weeks ago, Nancy welcomed granddaughter Maggie Jo into the world. She also enjoyed time with family, friends and traveling. Nancy is survived by son Ben (Stephanie) and their children Cale, Addison and Mackenzie; daughter Katie (Ryan) and their children Bentley, Oliver, Maggie Jo, Sidney, Riley and Christian; partner Terry; mother Vernell; siblings Valerie (Mel), Shelia (Anton), Trent (Joleen) and Nikki; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Harvey, brother-in-law Yannick and great-niece Alana. An open house memorial to celebrate Nancy's life will be held on Friday, April 16 from 4-7 pm at the Madelia Golf Course. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home, Pilgrim Chapel in Madelia.
