Naida was born October 16, 1932 in Madelia, MN to George and Alberta (Traver) Burk. Naida married Henry Curry June 1, 1950, at St. James Assembly of God Church. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of St. James Assembly of God Church. She held numerous church positions: a Sunday School Superintendent, a Sunday School Teacher, a Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade coordinator, and a Missionettes leader. Naida worked as a printer at Scherr-Tumico in St. James for more than 20 years. She obtained her GED from St. James High School in the late 1980's. Henry Naida owned/operated Curry Sanitation for 46 years. She volunteered for a variety of community organizations: hospice, meals on wheels, election judge and Christian Women's Club board member. In her retirement, Naida enjoyed her grandchildren and traveling with her husband. Naida (Burk) Curry passed away in her home at the age of 73 on August 15, 2006 after battling cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Dale Burk. Naida is survived by her husband, Henry, her children, Cynthia (Michael) Marshall of Winnebago, IL, Allan (Rita) Curry of Redwood Falls, Robert (Nancy) Curry of St. James, Phyllis Curry of Lansing, MI, and Karen (Glenn) Trickel of St. James, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, brothers Harlan (Dolores) Burk of Aliso Viejo, CA, and John Burk of Salton City, CA, a sister Betty Ufer of Madelia, several aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews.
