Myrtle Knudson, the daughter of John L. and Johanna (Torgerson) Johnson was born on December 11, 1912 in rural Madelia. Myrtle grew up in rural Madelia. She was united in marriage to Glen C. Knudson on February 19, 1938 at the parsonage in Lake Crystal. They made their home on a farm in rural Madelia. They had one daughter, Carol Knudson. They farmed until 1979 and remained on the farm until 1993 when they moved into Madelia. Myrtle was active with the extension service as a homemaker. She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and was active in WELCA, holding many offices and was a Sunday School teacher. Myrtle was also on the Auxiliary at the Luther Memorial Home. She enjoyed flowers, needlework and poetry. Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Carol Knudson of Madelia and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glen and 4 sisters, Goldie Thormodson, Josephine Noren, Luella Johnson and Lenora Hackins.
