Morrie “Mo” A. Strain, age 80 of Fairfax, Minnesota died on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.

Morrie “Mo” Alton Strain, the son of Ernest and Leona (Mosher) Strain, was born on May 1, 1944, in Winona, Minnesota. He was the owner/operator of the Corner Café in Fairfax from 1984 until 2014. From 2019 until earlier this year, Mo drove bus for Cedar Mountain Bus Service in Morgan where he thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the kids.

Mo is survived by his life partner, Diane Mauer of Fairfax; son, Wes (Wendy) Strain of Fairfax; three grandchildren, Brianna, Cameron, and Haley; and “sisters,” Nancy, Susie, and Lisa.
