Minnie Kronback

Minnie T. Kronback, 92 of Lamberton, MN was called to her heavenly home on December 14, 2017. Minnie Teresa Hoffrogge was born June 4, 1925, to immigrant parents Wilhelm and Johanne (Deling) Hoffrogge in North Hero Township, Redwood County. She was baptized at the Revere Lutheran Church on June 19, 1925. Minnie attended school in Revere, MN. In 1938, she moved with her family to Tracy and attended school there until age 15. The family moved back to Revere in 1944, following the death of her mother and brother. She was confirmed at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove on May 11, 1941. On June 4, 1947, Minnie was united in marriage to Glen Kronback at Revere Lutheran Church. To this union, 4 children were born. Russell, Larry, Nancy, and Janice. Glen and Minnie made their home on a farm near Lamberton, MN where Minnie would work alongside her husband to make a good life for their family. The couple moved to Lamberton in January of 2009, four years later they moved to Country View Assisted Living in Walnut Grove. Minnie entered Valley View Manor in June of 2015 to be with Glen. Glen died on Nov. 12, 2016, they had been married 69 years. Minnie was an active member of both Sharon Lutheran Church, and later, Our Savior's Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, assisted in the kitchen for funerals and other occasions and as a member of the women's church group. She was a member of the Andrew Peterson Post 41 American Legion Auxiliary, Redwood County Extension group TOPS and KOPS, and was a 4-H leader. Going for a walk on a warm summer day, fishing with her children and grandchildren, bowling, gardening, and a good game of Scrabble were her favorite past-times. She also had a love for Polka music and dances were always a special time for her. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, there was always room on her lap for 1, 2, or even 3 babies at a time. She is survived by her children Russell (Doreen) Kronback, Larry (Lee) Kronback, Nancy (Paul) Knakmuhs, and Janice (Allan) Werner; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sister - Margaret Flesner of Arizona; brother-in-law - Luverne Carlson of Walnut Grove, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters - Anna (Oscar) Pederson, Lena (Wilbert) Dehne, Helka (Leslie) Gunder; Marie (Shirley) Flesner, Elfieda Carlson; baby girl Hoffrogge; brothers - Wilhelm, John, Remer, Henry, Herman; and a brother-in-law - Spencer Flesner.
