Milo Engesser

February 16, 1926 — November 9, 2004

Milo A. Engesser was born February 16, 1926 in Balaton, MN, the son of Tom and Olive (Olson) Engesser. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1945 and served during World War II. Milo was united in marriage to Carol Fallstone on December 3, 1951 in Sioux Falls, SD. They moved to Springfield in 1957 where Milo worked at the Quarries in Morton, and then at Och's Brick Company in Springfield for several years. He was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church, John Watson American Legion Post 257 and the Springfield Baseball Association. Milo enjoyed playing cards, fishing, playing bingo, watching sports, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Milo A. Engesser died Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at the New Ulm Medical Center at the age of 78 years. Survivors include wife- Carol of Springfield; daughters- Debra and husband Joel Janni of Springfield, and Connie Ryan of New Ulm; grandchildren- James, Jennifer Jordan Janni, Megan Adam Ryan; brothers- Rodney and wife Lavina Engesser of Omaha, NE, and Thorval and wife Carol Engesser of Gary, SD; sisters- Pat and husband Roy DeVos of Marshall, Jenice and husband Gordon Molitor of Scottsdale, AZ, and Jackie and husband Bill Marquardt of Mesa, AZ; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; son- Carl in 1999; brothers- Franklin Merlin; and sisters- Audrey DeVos Mary Dirckx.
