Michael Moeller

Michael "Mike" Leo Moeller, 62, of Madelia, Minn. passed away on the evening of May 7, 2012 after a period of illness and lengthy bout with Crohn's Disease. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 12 at 2 PM with Pastor Vicki Toutges officiating. Funeral arrangements were handled by Sturm Funeral- Pilgrim Chapel. Mike was born on April 19, 1950 in Redwood Falls, Minn., to Leo and Louella Moeller. He grew up in Winthrop, Minn. After graduating high school, Mike attended Minnesota State University, Mankato (then Mankato State University) and also Mankato Technical College. He graduated from Mankato State with a degree in sociology and from Mankato Technical with a degree in accounting. Mike met Roxann on St. Patrick's Day in 1984 and they got married on June 16, 1984. Together they had two children. During his working life, Mike worked as an accountant at Hormel and as a custodian at Golden Pantry and the Madelia High School. He stopped working in 2011 to focus on his health. Mike enjoyed reading, especially mysteries, and listening to music. He also enjoyed playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons with his wife and children or video games like Final Fantasy XI with family and other people from around the world. Mike liked to share funny stories and jokes and to impart many random facts that he called UBIs (Useless Bits of Information). Mike was preceded in death by his father Leo, his mother Louella and father-in-law Erwin Pufpaff. He is survived in death by his wife, Roxann, his son Jonathan, and his daughter Heather (fianc Matthew Thomas); mother-in-law, Mae Pufpaff; grandson, Brayden White of Michigan and many nieces and nephews.
