Michael Hopman

Michael Scott Hopman, was born July 20, 1970, to Jeffery and Karen (Johnson) Hopman in New Ulm, Minnesota.  He grew up on the family farm in rural St. James and graduated from Madelia High School with the Class of 1989.  Mike worked various jobs throughout his life.  He enjoyed riding the bike trails around the Mankato area, fishing and mostly hanging out with his many friends.  He was always willing to help anyone in need.

Michael Scott Hopman, age 52, passed away on October 28, 2022, at his home in Mankato, Minnesota.

Mike is survived by his father, Jeffery Hopman; sisters, Karissa (Eric Pietsch) Hopman and Laura Hopman; nephews, Landon and Logan Pietsch; and nieces, Hannah and Alicia Grebenc and Kendra and Olivia Frederickson.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Hopman; his niece, Kayla Pietsch; and his grandparents, Donovan and Lorraine Hopman and Clement and Lila Johnson.

Memorials are preferred to the Minnesota Epilepsy Foundation.
