Michael Groebner

Michael Goober Joseph Groebner was born on April 14, 1964 in Springfield, the son of Gerhardt and Rosella (Vogel) Groebner. He attended and graduated from Springfield High School. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Shoen in 1985. Michael worked for RW Farm Supply in Springfield for 15 years, Colman Powermate for 2 1/2 years and was presently employed at Och Brink Company. He enjoyed fixing cars, Country Music, his two little dogs - Sparky and Max, and visiting with friends and family. Michael was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield and the Sons of the American Legion. Michael died on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at his home in rural Springfield at the age of 41 years. He is survived by his children - Josh Groebner of Springfield, Jamie Groebner of Springfield, and Jessica Groebner of Morgan; a granddaughter - Haily Groebner of Sanborn; mother - Rosella Groebner of Springfield; brothers - Gary and Deb Groebner, Larry and Ann Groebner; Alan and Robin Groebner, Jim and Elsie Groebner, David and Sandy Groenber, and Richard and Jayna all of Springfield; sisters - Janice and Pat Hoffmann of Sleepy Eye, Karen and Gary Jensen of Springfield, Rose and Barry Hoecherl of Springfield, Diane and Steve Marks of Springfield, Deb and Duane Feser of Springfield, and Julie and Steve Platz of Loretto, MN; any many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father - Gerhardt in April of 1996 and a son - Jason in November of 2005.
