Merlyn Hubert Froslan

Merlyn Froslan, son of Mark and Ruth (Steege) Froslan was born in St.James on July 9,1943. He attended St.James schools, graduating in 1961. He was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church where he was united in marriage to Janet Brausen on March 22, 1969. Together they farmed on the Froslan family farm. Farming to him was a labor of love, always looking for ways to make improvements. He taught many life lessons to others through his encouragement and mentoring. He demonstrated amazing perseverance, strength, and courage by the way he faced adversity. No longer able to actively farm, he embraced life through investing in his family. He especially cherished his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them and attending their activities. Merlyn passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato. Those who cherish his loving memories include his wife Janet; daughters Kim (Jay) Felber, Karla (Howard) Tauer; grandchildren Liza and Tegan Felber, Katelin and Ben Tauer; brother Leonard (Patty) Froslan, sister Janet (Alan) Weidenbach; step-mother Elsie Froslan and her daughter Harriet DenBeste; and many nieces and nephews.
