Merle W Schueler

Merle Waldemar Schueler was born on July 9, 1936 in Sleepy Eye, MN to Waldemar and Florence (Marks) Schueler. He farmed in Prairieville Township for 47 years. Merle worked at Del Monte for 50 years as a seasonal employee. He married Elaine Cecilia Sellner on November 7, 1960 at the Church of the Japanese Martyrs in Leavenworth. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan, MN. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing and listening to old time music, playing cards and spending time with family, grandchildren and friends. He is survived by his wife, Elaine, children, Leon (Stephanie) Schueler, Sharon (Tom) Mages, Susanne (Allen) Schumacher, son-in-law, Michael (Lynne) Schroepfer, grandchildren, Jessi, Alyssa, Stacie, Scott, Lauren, Ethan, Ben and Brianna, great grandchild, Carsyn, brothers, Gerald (Linda) Schueler, Gaylord Schueler, Dennis (Janice) Schueler and Allen (Judy) Schueler. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sandra Schroepfer and in-laws, Albert and Sophie Sellner. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Sleepy Eye Care Center or Parkinson's Research.
