Melvin Carl Wolle was born December 31, 1922 on the Boynton Ranch west of Truman to parents Henry and Eva (Urban) Wolle. Melvin was Baptized and confirmed into the W.E.L. Faith. He attended parochial school at St. Paul's in St. James. On December 19, 1953 he was united in marriage to Ilah Koenig at Sioux Falls, SD. Melvin farmed his entire life. He retired in 1991 and moved to Darfur. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed putting puzzles together, playing cards, tending his garden and flowers. He also enjoyed mowing the grass and keeping up the cemetery and church lawns for many years. Melvin Wolle died on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at the Windom Area Hospital in Windom, he was 83 years old. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughters Ilah Jane Henze, Nancy Parsons, son Jerry Flaming, granddaughter Brandi Flaming, brothers Martin, Julius, Wilmar and sisters Helen and Esther. He is survived by his wife Ilah Wolle of Darfur, sons Donald (Barb) Wolle of Lake Crystal, Doug (Shirley) Wolle of Darfur, Charles (Charlene) Wolle of Mt. Lake, James (Carol) Flaming of Mt. Lake, Rodger Flaming of LaMesa, CA,20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, son-in-laws Dale Parsons of WI, Harvey Henze of SD, sisters Eldora Froslan of Tempe, AZ, Wilma Anacker of Darfur, sister-in-laws Cecelia Wolle of St. James and Donna Wolle of Millwauke, WI.
